Best Voice Performance for an Animated Feature

  • Any submission must be released content at time of your submission.

  • Content may be from a previous year, but the dubbing must have been released in the calendar year the entry is submitted.

  • Submission must not exceed 5 min.

  • Submission must be one video file containing either an extended scene or multiple clips.

  • If providing multiple clips within the video file, we recommend scenes play in order to illustrate the character’s arc.

  • Video should be a H.264 file with at least a Stereo/2.0 mix embedded.

Best Dub Audio Mixing for a Series
Best Dub Audio Mixing for a Feature

  • Any submission must be released content at time of your submission.

  • Content may be from a previous year, but the dubbing must have been released in the calendar year the entry is submitted.

  • Must select 2-3 segments. Total submission run time must not exceed 15 mins.

  • Stereo/2.0, 5.1, and Dolby Atmos mixes will be accepted. But any Atmos may be folded down to 5.1 in some review environments.

  • Mix should showcase your best/honest representation of what happens on screen, providing dialogue balance with the M&E, clarity of dialogue, use of reverb, panning, tonal quality, spatialization, etc.

  • Submission must be an H.264 file with your Stereo/2.0 or 5.1 mix embedded.

  • If submitting Dolby Atmos, provide the audio as a 768kbps Dolby Digital Plus encode embedded within the video in an MP4 container.

Best Localized Song

  • Any submission must be released content at time of your submission.

  • Content may be from a previous year, but the dubbing/song must have been released in the calendar year the entry is submitted.

  • Song must be dubbed opposed to subtitled at this time.

  • Multiple languages may be submitted for the same song, but each language is considered a separate submission.

  • Dubbed song submission must not exceed 5 min.

  • Please submit song synced to the picture (even if it plays over credits).

  • Video should be a H.264 file with at least a Stereo/2.0 mix embedded.

  • If song lyrics are available in original language and/or in English, please provide them (not required).

Best Audio Description for a Feature

  • Any submission must be released content at time of your submission.

  • Content may be from a previous year, but the Audio Descriptions must have been released in the calendar year the entry is submitted.

  • Submission must be a continuous clip not exceeding 7 minutes.

  • Submission can be in any language.

  • For any AD submission in a language other than English, an English translation must be provided. Please note any translations provided will be utilized as a guide in the reviewing/voting process. You will not be judged on a back translation into English.

  • For English Audio Descriptions submitted, the nominating company must be willing to provide a translation of the script in another language at the request of the EGA; the translation will be guided by the preference of the Reviewing Committee.

  • Video should be a H.264 file with at least a Stereo/2.0 mix embedded.

Best Audio Description for a Series

  • Any submission must be released content at time of your submission.

  • Content may be from a previous year, but the Audio Descriptions must have been released in the calendar year the entry is submitted.

  • A minimum of 2 audio described episodes from series must have been released in the calendar year the entry is submitted to be eligible.

  • For your submission clip, pull from a single episode to be used for voting (one that released in the calendar year the entry is submitted).

  • Submission must be a continuous clip not exceeding 7 minutes.

  • Submission can be in any language.

  • For any AD submission in a language other than English, an English translation must be provided. Please note any translations provided will be utilized as a guide in the reviewing/voting process. You will not be judged on a back translation into English.

  • For English Audio Descriptions submitted, the nominating company must be willing to provide a translation of the script in another language at the request of the EGA; the translation will be guided by the preference of the Reviewing Committee.

  • Video should be a H.264 file with at least a Stereo/2.0 mix embedded.

Best Script Adaptation for a Dubbed Audio 

  • Any submission must be released content at time of your submission.

  • Content may be from a previous year, but the dubbing must have been released in the calendar year the entry is submitted.

  • For your submission, choose a clip not to exceed 10 minutes (max).

  • Original and translated scripts correlating with the chosen clip should be submitted.

  • Submission must be an unedited continuous play – i.e. from the starting point of your choosing, submission must play continuously to the end point of your choosing (up to the 10 min max duration).

  • Video should be a H.264 file with at least a Stereo/2.0 mix embedded.

Best Overall Dubbing for a Series

  • Any submission must be released content at time of your submission.

  • Content may be from a previous year, but the dubbing must have been released in the calendar year the entry is submitted.

  • A minimum of 2 dubbed episodes from series (regardless of runtime) must have been released in the calendar year the entry is submitted to be eligible.

  • For your submission, choose a single episode for voting.

  • If you episode exceeds 25 minutes, please select a segment from the episode. Submission must be an unedited continuous play – i.e. from the starting point of your choosing, submission must play continuously to the end point of your choosing (up to the 25 min max duration).

  • Video should be a H.264 file with at least a Stereo/2.0 mix embedded.

Best Overall Dubbing for a Feature

  • Any submission must be released content at time of your submission.

  • Content may be from a previous year, but the dubbing must have been released in the calendar year the entry is submitted.

Best Subtitling for a Television Series

  • Any submission must be released content at time of your submission.

  • NOMINEE: The nominee can be an individual or a company and can come from any organization.

  • NAME OF THE TECHNOLOGY: The Technical Award can be attributed to a product, a technology or a workflow that highly contributed to improve the overall quality and effectiveness of the localization and/or accessibility services industry.

  • DESCRIPTION: In order to fully appreciate the value of the product, technology and/or the workflow developed, please provide a detailed description of it. 

  • MARKET PURPOSE: Please elaborate on the purpose of this product/technology/workflow development.  What market does it serve and/or what problem does it solve? 

  • USE CASE: Is this product/technology/workflow currently in use? If yes, could you please describe how it is used, by whom, and in which environment.

  • DEVELOPMENT PROCESS: Please describe the development process.  Was it specially developed for the audio-visual localization industry or adapted for its use? Was it a unique development or an improvement over previous or current technologies? Please cite those previous or current technologies.  

  • REFERENCE: Please provide the name(s) and email contact information for industry professional(s) who can attest to the submission.

Lifetime Achievement

  • NAME: The nominee should be an individual and can come from any organization.

  • EXPERIENCE: The nominee should have a proven long experience (a minimum of 15 years) in the localization and/or accessibility services field.

  • CONTRIBUTION & ENGAGEMENT:The nominee should have significantly contributed to the localization and/or accessibility services industry at a local, regional or worldwide level. (ex: accomplishments, industry developments, expansion & professionalization, work overall quality, etc.).

  • GENERAL STATEMENT: Please state any additional information about the nominee’s career which would support the submission and better highlight the nominee’s profile.

  • EMPOWERMENT (OPTIONAL): Has the nominee contributed to empower young talents and develop skills within the localization and/or accessibility services industry? If so, please describe their actions and initiatives.

  • AWARENESS (OPTIONAL): Has the nominee contributed to raise worldwide awareness towards the importance and the role of localization and/or accessibility services within the AV industry (ex: actions of communication, advocacy to safeguard the original creative intent, promotion of the worldwide cultural & linguistic diversity, etc.). If so, please describe their actions and initiatives.
