Working Groups

Our impact is led by our members

  • Every mature industry has a peer reviewed awards program in place to showcase the leaders in their sector. Awards provide aspirational goals, professional recognition and positive impact to the overall perception of an industry. EGA’s awards working group is tasked with creating the first truly global celebration of excellence in the arts and sciences of global storytelling. They help shape every element of the EGA awards program; including the categories for our industry, the selection process for finalists, the voting mechanisms for winners and help influence the awards events themselves. Working closely with the EGA staff and consultants, the awards working group will create an awards program that will help raise worldwide awareness to the art of localization and elevate the creative community’s appreciation for global storytelling.

  • The Dialogue List Standard is a pioneering initiative by the Entertainment Globalization Association (EGA) to bring uniformity and precision in the localization process, particularly to the dialogue list creation. With the increasing demands for content localization and the challenges that come with it, this standard is aimed to provide a definitive framework that optimizes efficiency, accuracy, and clarity for all stakeholders involved. By setting industry-wide guidelines and best practices, it seeks to enhance collaboration among localization professionals, streamline the dubbing process, and ultimately elevate the quality of localized content for global audiences.
