New EGA Study Reveals Viewer Insights on Synthetic Dubs in Germany and France

A recent study conducted by EGA is shedding light on viewer perceptions of synthetic voice dubs in France and Germany. This study, created by EGA’s Insights Committee, examined the responses of 1,000 participants, offering a glimpse into their preferences and attitudes toward content dubbed with synthetic voices. 

Key highlights from the study include:

  • Participants across both countries reported robust enjoyment of synthetic voice dubs.

  • Despite slight variations in preferences between French and German audiences, overall satisfaction with the synthetic dubs remained high.

  • The majority of respondents perceived the synthetic voices as authentic.
