Iyuno Welcomes EGA Fellow in Los Angeles

We're excited to spotlight Gabriela Pelliccia during Fellowship Week in Los Angeles sponsored by Iyuno.

The Entertainment Globalization Association (EGA) Fellowship is sponsored by Iyuno with the goal to enhance craft skills and overall commercial understanding of the broader entertainment ecosystem in a year-long professional development program.

This year, fellows – Gabriela Pelliccia a Brazilian Portuguese voice actor and dubbing director, and Raissa Duboc a linguist from Portugal – participated in the program to become leaders in our industry, advance the talent pool and expose diverse career opportunities. Both will move into an advisory role to help evolve and shape future fellowship classes.

Last week, Gabriela Pelliccia had the opportunity to visit Los Angeles as part of Fellowship Week, and we were honored to welcome her in person. She spent her time connecting with key industry professionals, visiting famous landmarks and touring state-of-the-art facilities including DreamWorks, Starz, Griffith Observatory, and Forest Lawn. The activity-packed week ended with EGA’s Annual Holiday Party where Iyuno’s Vice President of Client Relations, Olivier Christmann, got to spend time with Gabriela and our friends at Amazon, Apple and Warner Bros. Discovery.

"For a freelancer based in Argentina, the fellowship week was a dream. Being able to get to know so many people from the industry, talking to them, asking questions, and telling them about our work and the changes it has been going through was absolutely rewarding,” said Gabriela Pellicia, EGA Fellow. “I’ve learned so many valuable lessons, but I think the most important one is we are all part of the same industry; we need to strengthen our freelancer community and always raise the bar on quality to keep retelling awesome stories around the world. Thank you Iyuno for making this week possible."

To learn more about Gabriela’s time with us, check out this video on social media, where we host her at one of our local facilities and introduce her to Iyuno’s US Managing Director, Christine Zembal, Director of Studio Operations, Nicholas Tucker, and other members of our US English Dubbing team.

"EGA's Fellowship program is a great way for our industry to elevate the individual professionals that make a significant impact on the art of global storytelling," said Cecilie Hammelev-Wethje, EGA Managing Director. “We are proud of Gabi Pelliccia for being our first fellow to complete the program and are looking forward to seeing how this experience enhances her career. EGA is also grateful to Iyuno for supporting this program and we hope to continue it next year with a new cohort of localization professionals.”
