EGA Announces New President and Vice President
The Entertainment Globalization Association (EGA) is proud to announce the appointment of Jacques Barreau as President and William Russell as Vice President for the upcoming term.
Jacques Barreau, who brings extensive experience in media localization, expressed his enthusiasm for the role:
"I’m proud to take on the role of EGA President and continue advocating for the art, craft, and technology in the localization industry. With streaming and global distribution reshaping the business, the work we do at TransPerfect Media—and across EGA—is more critical than ever. Joining as Vice President, William Russell shared his excitement for the opportunity:
"I am delighted and honoured to be joining the board as Vice President. I have long admired the EGA’s contribution to the industry and I look forward to working with the team and its members to both promote the art of media localisation and to help navigate its challenges. I’m excited to see many of you at CON-LO-CON on April 3."
