Even though we’re experiencing a shift to a truly global audience for content, language is still very much a barrier to entry for new stories. The possibility of a small Turkish show becoming a major hit in Brazil has never been more real than today, but this will only be possible with local “retelling” of that Turkish story in a way that resonates with Brazilians.
It’s never been more important than now for content creators to take an active participation in how their stories are retold using the world stage created by OTT distribution. EGA wants to elevate the art form of “retelling” stories for global markets and help creators better understand and appreciate how these localization artists help them share their stories worldwide.
The world is getting smaller, but the opportunity to connect with people globally using stories is getting bigger!
No globalization company is differentiating themselves by fixing nonstandardization, in fact they are all suffering through the complexities of it. The EGA will work collectively to identify key areas of the localization the process.
